In the picture we see the NA MP, owner of Zangezur Molybdenum Factory Maxim Hakobyan’s son Vahe Hakobyan’s three-story mansion that is being built in Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan. It has been no news for a long time that MPs and representatives of the “elite” build mansions and has become a common attribute of our public lives. And the “average” citizens have also gotten used to that. Sometimes, however, the representatives of the elite apply such minor tricks to attain their luxuries that people get mad and furious. They get surprised too. For example, MP Vahe Hakobyan is building this house at the expense of the neighbors because he had opened windows looking in the direction of the neighbors by indirectly accessing in the houses of these residents. Moreover, the documents that had been provided to Hakobyan by the city council clearly define in black and white that the owner is not allowed to open and windows in the direction of the neighbors. When speaking to our reporter the young MP has said, “Who cares about your city council…? I can show hundreds of such papers myself.” He was also noble enough to convince his neighbor old lady to appeal the legality of the mansion at the court. There is supposedly no need to mention what the consequences of this appeal will be. “Who cares about the court verdict? I can bring hundreds of such verdicts and decisions,” will probably be the response of the NA MP. Unfortunately this is not a single case and is quite characteristic to our times. The thing is that the tools of the government elite are gradually improving. From time to time the representatives of this stratum compete – for example, luxury cars, mansions, big businesses, relations with other big shots and many other good things. Perhaps this is normal. But perhaps this becomes sort of a habit among them to reach these goals without trampling the interests of average citizens.
