The issue of increasing the price of the Russian gas supplied to Armenia was discussed during the Russian president Medevedev’s visit to Armenia in August. Yesterday PM Tigram Sargsyan spoke of this topic when commenting on a recent statement on part of the Russian Gazprom company, according to which the price of the gas supplied to Armenia will be increased in 2011. Mr. Sargsyan says that the ArmRusGazard company has been instructed to continue working with their Russian counterparts to make the price policy and methodology of the gas supply to Armenia predictable. ”Within several months the management of the ArmRusGazard company will inform about the results of the negotiations with the Russian party,” said Sargsyan. To note, the board director of the Gazprom company Andrey Kruglov said that the company will transfer to the market price formation policy in relation to the gas supply to Armenia in 2011, which means that the gas will be sold at the European prices.
