“Iran will not allow to allocate international peacekeeping forces in the conflict zone of Karabakh,” said the Ambassador of Iran to Armenia during yesterday’s press-conference. “It is soon to speak about that as there is an ongoing process within the OSCE Minsk Group, but Iran will not let it happen,” he said. Commenting on the information that Turkey will deploy armed forces in the region of Nakhijevan he said that he did not have such information but if it happens, “it will be against Turkey’s policy for zero problems with the neighbors.” “Americans want to allocate forces in the region of Fizuli, but we will not let it happen for sure” said the Ambassador of Iran in Armenia. “The conflict that happened is first of all a result of a provocation in the region,” he said concerning the diversion committed by Azerbaijan on June 18. In answer to the question who the Ambassador meant by saying provocation out of the region the Ambassador of Iran said, “I don’t mean any country or power, but factors which may have external character.” Concerning the possibility of new war between Armenia and Azerbaijan he said that they “totally exclude the possibility of war.”
