“The goal of the Madrid Principles is just one, through which the peacekeepers will enter the region. Indeed, it was clear that there would be forces, which would provide the influence of the US in the region,” told our reporter the former defense minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan when alluding to the process of resolution of the NKR conflict. “The chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group very well understand that currently there is no solution to the NKR conflict. The approaches of the sides are so varying that the resolution of the conflict through negotiations is almost excluded. And this interim solution, I am repeating again, has only one goal, is to deploy peacekeeping forces in the region, which will not be possible if Armenia doesn’t agree,” added Harutyunyan.
