The European Union has called on the authorities of Libya and Switzerland to overcome the diplomatic conflict, because of which a number of Libyan businessmen have been refused to be issued entry visas to Europe. The EU commissioner on foreign affairs Catherine Eshton has said that this diplomatic conflict harms the interests of Europe. Switzerland has included a number of Libyan businessmen in the blacklist and refused to issue entry visas to them. In answer, starting from February Libya does not provide entry visas to the citizens of a number of European countries.
