According to the director of Synopsis Armenia company Hovik Musayelyan, the reason why the quality of Internet is bad in Armenia is the fact that they are importing low quality internet and the providers don’t work well either. He believes the low quality and availability of Internet is an obstacle for foreign investments and the situation with internet connection is very poor in Armenia. According to him, 30% of the companies in the Armenian IT sector are companies with foreign investment, thus they are getting their assignments and orders through the Internet from other countries. Thus, the low quality of Internet creates serious problems for doing the orders in time and working in a duly manner. “It is due to the bad quality Internet that the companies in the IT sector cannot work properly, and if the quality of the Internet is not improved, it is not excluded that the companies with foreign participation in the IT sector may close down and go to other countries,” said the director of Synopsis Armenia company.
