On Saturday at around 1: 30 p.m. the building located on 74 Aram street collapsed due to mistakes made in construction. One of the workers named Hamlet Adamyan (born in 1977 and resident of Charentsavan) was left under the ruins. The ambulance got to the site and pulled Hamlet out of the ruins. He had many fractures. They transferred him to the “St. Grigor Lusavorich” medical center. According to the doctors, his situation is critical. “The building collapsed due to violation of the rules of construction,” said vice-chief of the ambulance Vrezh Gabrielyan. “It is clear that the person in charge of the construction is the one to blame. Security must be guaranteed in any case. It is not right to do construction without security.”
The building has a monumental significance. The rocks were numbered; the building was being destructed in order to rebuild it most likely. The municipality informed us that the destruction of the building was being implemented by the “Yerevan construction and investment” project implementation office.
