Yesterday the legal successors of the victims of the March 1-2 events of 2008 sent a letter to the members of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Commission by petitioning them to provide the presence of a representative of the Heritage party Zaruhi Postanjyan in all the PACE sessions related to Armenia. They are petitioning to restore the status of Zaruhi Postanjyan as a full member of the Armenian delegation to PACE and decline the credentials of NA chair to oust Postanjyan from the delegation. Let us remember that on January 15 the chair of the NA signed a decree on approving the composition of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, according to which Zaruhi Postanjyan’s name was taken out from the list of permanent members of the PACE. The NA chair Hovik Abrahamyan instructed not to finance the presence of Zaruhi Postanjyan to the sessions of the PACE.
