According to the New York Times a former chess champion sold his previous apartment in New York and had bought a new apartment in the same city with mortgage at 3.4 million USD. The apartment was designed by a world-known architect Robert Stern FAIA. The apartment designed by Stern is located on 76 street of Amsterdam Avenue. The new apartment of Kasparov, the space of which is 162 square meters, consists of three bedrooms. The apartment was sold with a 10% discount – approximately 350 thousand USD and with 1.25 million USD loan. As it’s known his previous apartment with a space of 81 square meters was bought in 2005 at 320 thousand USD. He sold this apartment in October of the current year at 630 thousand USD. According to American analysts Kasparov made a great deal by selling it at double price. By the way, according to the newspaper, Kasparov conducts master classes of chess in New York and here lives her ex-wife Maria Arapova and his daughter Polina. In this new apartment Kasparov will live with his current wife Daria Tarasova, who is 20 years younger than the grandmaster. Let us also mention that Stern is a famous designer of American universities, banks, museums and libraries. He especially likes to cooperate with Disney.
