Message from Africa

Yesterday the former president Robert Kocharyan commented on the announcement of first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan concerning him in his recent speech. The comments told by Kocharyan to the Mediamax are a new word in the political culture of Armenia and with its level it is innovation after the sharp comments spoken in the past. “Ter-Petrosyan’s mentorship and self-delusion leaves a high impression. At the same time, his speech was full of analysis, even though everyone who is not lazy has spoken such things as well. Certainly it was very boring. I think the people there made a lot of efforts not to sleep there. The accusations he brought against me are so absurd that there is no need to discuss them as there are no reasons for that. However his words about me in his speech remind me of a situation I witnessed in Africa several months ago. It was an evening and hunters were sitting near the fire and telling stories of hunting big animals. They were speaking of the power and danger lions, elephants and other African big animals have. After each story a European, who was sitting there too, was breathing deep and saying that anyway the most dangerous animal is bear. When he repeated the same thing for the third time, I asked him why the bear had impressed him so much. It turned out that five years before during hunting a bear had beaten him up quite well. Definitely I am inspiring Ter-Petrosyan too because he remembers about me very often,” reads the announcement of former president of Armenia, who was in office for ten years.
