“Don’t listen to the either party. What we are doing is that we are following the process, which shows that the processes of the ratification of the protocols and the settlement of Karabakh conflict are clearly tied. Turkey was very fast to submit the protocols to the parliament. However it is not clear whether they will ratify it now or in six years,” said opposition activist Alexander Arzumanyan in answer to our question why the opposition believes the announcements from Turkey than Armenia. We wander in which phase of which direction of the process Turkey may ratify the protocols. In answer to this question Arzumanyan said, “The precondition is about taking the Armenian forces out of the surrounding lands or signing at least a document to specify the timeline and schedule of taking out the forces. I think the process of ratification is viewed in this context”.
