“The European Union petitions Turkey to ratify the Armenia-Turkey protocols signed in Zurich on October 10,” writes the Turkish Zaman by referring to the EU’s draft report. Besides that in the report the EU hints that Turkey may be criticized in failing Europe’s peaceful initiative as they believe Turkey prevents Europe’s cooperation with the NATO because of the policy toward Cyprus.
“The report calls on Turkey to agree its foreign policy with the EU, specifically in connection to the relations with Iran, demands from the government and all political parties to come to an agreement over reforms, appreciates Ankara’s efforts concerning the issue of the Kurds, developing relations with Armenia and petitions to ratify the protocols signed between the two countries on November 10,” writes the newspaper.
