Yesterday the chairman of the parliamentary ad hoc commission on the investigation of the March 1-2 tragic events Samvel Nikoyan, 15 months after these events, finally publicized the report of the body headed by him. This document, which consists of approximately 150 pages, in fact doesn’t say much and once again proves that this ad hoc was actually created to conceal the crime. It would be enough to only mention that in that report there is no request to arrest any of the officials, who on March 1 gave an order to shoot at the 10 victims. Instead the report is filled with parts from the speeches of the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan made since September 21, 2007 in order to create an impression that he was trying to deliberately create hostility and aggressiveness in the society, as a result of which the events of March 1 took place. In fact this is no news either. Since March 2008 the propaganda of the government was based on that. If this was the purpose of the ad hoc commission than the government should have just added the frequency of news on TV channels and thus brainwash the society on how aggressive the society has become because of Ter-Petrosyan’s speeches. As of the report publicized by Nikoyan than it has a positive side. At least this ad hoc will terminate its activities and at least the imitation of investigating the March 1 events will be over. In fact due to the report publicized yesterday the page of March 1 was reopened and it won’t be closed as long as there is no actual investigation and due to which the fact-finding group was dissolved.
