The spokesperson of the foreign affairs ministry Tigran Balayan has commented on the Azeri president’s office member Novruz Mamedov’s announcement and said that the negotiations on developing Armenian-Turkish relations and the issue of Karabakh are not connected with each other, and this is the opinion of the international community as well. Mamedov said that the Armenian-Turkish talks would have an influence on the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. “I can’t say whether this meeting will take place or no, but the ongoing process will have an influence for sure,” said Mamedov. Concerning the recent repeated announcements on part of Mamedov the foreign affairs ministry spokesperson said, “Mamedov’s bright ideas show one more time that he is not informed of the processes and wants to represent everything in the manner he would like it to be.”
