“The NKR itself should play the role of the first party of the conflict. It should speak about its right of identity, recognition of its independence and bring up other precedents to the international community because due to the NKR the Ossetian and Kosovo conflicts were risen,” told our reporter an MP from the Heritage parliamentary faction Stepan Safaryan when asked to comment on the statement of the US, Russia and France and the suggestion of resolving the conflict in the framework of the basic principles. Safaryan also added, “These countries have reached a partial recognition but the indisputable fact of NKR independence remains as a hostage for the international community.” According to the political officer of the Hay Dat office of the ARF Kiro Manoyan if the government doesn’t sign this new recommendation then they will have to change the format of the negotiations. “In this case the NKR must participate as a negotiating side,” says Manoyan.
