On June 15 co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s Monitoring Committee John Prescott and Georges Colombier will arrive in Yerevan on a three-day visit. During the visit the Co-rapporteurs will be hosted by RA President Serzh Sargsyan and Chairman of the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan. The Co-rapporteurs are expected to meet with Vice-chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the ad hoc commission for the investigation into the events of March 1-2 Samvel Nikoyan, members of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, Head of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Issues Artak Davtyan, RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan, Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan, Ambassadors of CE-member countries and representatives of international organizations. The Co-rapporteurs will also meet with Levon Ter-Petrosyan, representatives of non-governmental organizations, former members of the Fact-Finding Group, advocates and the wives of some prisoners, as reported by the Department of Public Relations of the National Assembly.
