The ballots of the 8/05 precinct of Malatia-Sebastia community were re-counted in the general public prosecutor’s office yesterday. It is worth mentioning that all the possible and impossible forms of electoral violations and violence have been observed in this precinct, including ballot stuffing, as well as in the presence of a US Embassy representative, violence against journalists and monitors, etc. After the vote re-count in the general prosecutor’s office it turned out that the head of the mentioned electoral commission, who is from the RPA, has done anything with the votes he wanted; he stuffed for the RPA in a manner like copying the votes or counted the votes of others in favor of their team. In the given case it doesn’t matter how much they have stolen from other parties or how many votes they have stuffed. In fact the reality is that with the decision to re-count the votes of this separate precinct the authorities want to move the issue of electoral violations from this level to another level of a separate case and dispute to disperse the attention of people (even they have launched a criminal case against the head of the mentioned commission Norayr Yeghiazarya). However, the Armenian National Congress, which is officially in the third place claims to use all methods to consider the results of May 31 elections in all precincts of Yerevan invalid.
