Yesterday the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s press secretary Nairi Petrosyan gave clarifications about the recent statement of Abrahamyan about the possibility of granting amnesty to certain prisoners. According to Petrosyan, “When speaking to the journalists NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan didn’t exclude the possibility of the amnesty by expressing his good will about that.” In the meantime, according to the Radio Liberty the NA Speaker literally said, “On the occasion of the national holiday of independence on May 28 the president of Armenia will make a declaration of amnesty.”
