Yesterday during the NA-government Q&A MP Victor Dallakyan raised a question about the Kimprom of Vanadzor and Nairit of Yerevan. The prime minister went to Vanadzor and gave promises but to major steps have been taken. "No measures have been taken in Vanadzor to address the problems so far. In the case of Nairit we witnessed the blast. Who is the owner of Nairit? Which are the reasons for the blast?" wondered Victor Dallakyan. The minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Armen Movsisyan answered the question. He said serious works are underway in the Vanadzor plant but the global economic crisis affects the work. The Minister didn’t have time to refer to the problems of Nairit. He only said he didn’t know Nairit’s owner and the reasons for the explosion. "The aftermaths of the disaster were much more serious than the disaster: we had four victims." Thus the minister kept prolonging the answer and wasted his 3 minutes. As of Nairit he said that the explosion wasn’t immense as it luckily left only 4 people dead. But mysterious rumors still circulate about Nairit. Till now it’s not known who the owner of the factory is, the director of Raynoville Property LTD. What happened to the 40 out of the 70 million USD taken from the inter-state bank? Why doesn’t Nairit till now submit a report about the operation of the factory to the government? Was the 35 million USD given to Nairit allotted from the small and medium loan of Germany? After the Q&A we asked all these questions to Movsisyan. “I can’t remember it all. I don’t know anything about the German loan. Nairit may get loans from many other sources – Russian, Armenian or other banks. The government didn’t give any money or any guarantee. We sold Nairit at 40 million USD. This company was in construction business in Moscow. Therefore I don’t know how much money they borrowed,” responded the minister. So in what can we believe from the words of Movsisyan? According to him he doesn’t know what’s going on with Nairit. But the ministry he heads is one of the owners of Nairit. “The ministry is in charge of not only Nairit but nearly 70 other Armenian companies. I can’t remember all that,” answered Movsisyan in the event of learning by heart the indices of Kimprom. Does the minister know how much the brother of the Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan makes by being one of the managers of Nairit? “I don’t know how many brothers the prime minister has in order to answer who works at Nairit. Now you may ask since when he works and I will answer that he definitely has worked much before Tigran Sargsyan’s appointment as a prime minister,” he said.
