Hovik Abrahamyan, who was part of Andranik Markaryan’s delegation in China, has an interesting story to tell. The Chinese announced during a feast that they really like Armenian lavash. H. Abrahamyan suggested opening a “lavash factory” in China under one condition-the workers must be from Artashat. “Artashatsu khats utoghe pala chi peri” (The person who eats bread made in Artashat will not give birth to a child). According to our sources, the Chinese laughed when they heard the translation.
