Today the meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev will be held in Prague in the framework of the Eastern Partnership Program of the EU. Almost everybody is pretty optimistic about this meeting, starting from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group finishing with the US State Department and Azerbaijan. Everybody is optimistic besides Armenia. In this background yesterday the press secretary of the RA president refuted all the rumors, according to which the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey will be held in Prague. The question is not whether the meeting will be held concretely in Prague or in some other city in near future. The problem is that the “common optimism” (in the background of which Armenia shows advocacy programs about the “growing international reputation of Armenia”) is stipulated with the fact that the negotiations of Armenian-Turkish relations proceed in parallel with the talks of the NKR conflict resolution. And for the Armenian government, which has entered into this game, can only change the place or time of the meeting in order to prolong the date of the final agreement.
