Yesterday the chairman of the National Assembly of RA Hovik Abrahamyan discussed with the NA factions the letter sent by the detained MPs Hakob Hakobyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan, Sasun Mikayelyan accused in the framework of the case of seven. In the letter the mentioned MPs requested Abrahamyan to convene a parliamentary session to nullify the NA decision to suspend the inviolability of MPs charged with the "case of seven." Yesterday’s meeting was attended by lawyers who noted that in case the parliament convenes a special session and decides to revoke the aforesaid decision, it will have contravened the Constitution. "I think we could cancel the decision as the parliament had agreed to the arrest of our colleagues and decided to suspend their inviolability. Similarly, it could cancel the decision," Leader of the Heritage parliamentary faction Armen Martirosyan said to A1+. He also added that during the discussion with Abrahamyan it was agreed not to interfere with the proceedings of the court and wait for the steps to be undertaken by the prosecutor. Note that the Special Investigative Service of the Prosecutor’s Office is to bring new indictment in April within the framework of the case of seven.
