Our traffic policeman can’t do anything to stop the drivers of cars ”with good numbers” to violate the law. In spite of this the traffic policemen don’t hesitate give tickets to people who are not able to protect themselves. On Saturday not far from the crossroads of Teryan and Abovyan streets we saw seven cars parked on the pavements. A traffic policeman approched them and asked to give him their documents. The young people didn’t give him any documents. ”OK, I will take your cars to the police station, you don’t know who I am, people call me as ‘Tank”,- said the policeman pronouncing swear words. One of those young people called one of his relatives and gave the phone to ”Tank” (policeman). After a couple of minutes the policeman returned the phone to that young man and walked away. ”You were just lucky”,-said ”Tank” (the policeman). One of the people who was there, said: ”Why didn’t ”Tank” do anything? Probably they called a ”tank destroyer”, that is why he couldn’t do anything’’. It is not the first time. There have been a lot of cases like this, when policemen promissed to take the cars of the drivers violating the law to the police station, but later after several words or calls they apologized and walked away.
