On March 1 the opposition organized a rally in four months after the last mass demonstration. The rally was organized near the Matenadaran by the Armenian National Congress.
On Saturday the place of the rally was full of policemen and it proceeded without any incidents. In order to figure out how many people were participating in the rally it was enough to see how long the marching line of people was: it lasted from the Grigor Lousavorich street (the fish shop) till the square after Sakharov. During the rally only Levon Ter-Petrosyan made a speech and generally spoke about a new strategy of political struggle.
