The candidacy of the executive director’s position of newly-established Luys educational foundation has been submitted to the president and prime minister for approval. The commission consists of CB board member Vache Gabriyelyan, Heritage party board member Anahit Bakhshyan and other people. It was very hard to find out the name of the candidate for the executive director’s position because the commission wanted to keep it confidential and publish after approval. Concerning this competition Anahit Bakhshyan told our correspondent that there were 180 candidates for the mentioned position and they selected the best one. She also said that the candidate currently is employed in educational field and her salary is high. The educational project of Luys foundation is to provide financial support to the Armenian students studying at world famous universities. The foundation is registered in the name of Armenian citizens Serzh Sargsyan and Tigran Sargsyan. The founding address is Tigran Sargsyan’s address of registration. Due to many efforts we found out that the mentioned candidate is Jacqueline Karaaslanyan. She was born in Yerevan, studied in France. She is experienced in foreign languages. After finishing her study she joined the Mondial center of Paris in 1981 and served as the coordinator of Chief Scientist Seymour Papert program. She worked with Papert’s team and worked on the implementation of a number of educational and technological projects in the world. In 1983 she joined the Media Lab founding group of Massachusetts Technological Institute. She worked at this organization as a group manager and coordinator of Future of Learning Group projects. Jacqueline Karaaslanyan has worked on developing educational models in different cultural environments and advocating for such projects.
We have found out that many people have tried to prevent her advancement, but most of the people we have talked to and her experience show that she is the best candidate for this position.
