Today all the world will be focused on Washington to follow and see the inauguration of the US 44th president Barak Obama. Armenia, but not the society of Armenia, the Republic of Armenia will follow that global event only on TV because no delegation from Armenia has been officially invited. Certainly there can be thousands of reasons starting from heavy schedule and ending up with minor details. One of such reasons may be the visit of the OSCE co-chairmen to Armenia scheduled for today even though it may be a very small event compared to the US president’s inauguration. The co-chairmen are visiting Armenia one week prior to the discussion of Armenia’s issue at the PACE and they are optimistic concerning organizing a meeting of the Armenian and Azeri presidents at the end of January. We will see how realistic such optimism is in one week. Till that time the Armenian society can be satisfied with the fact that it has the oldest civilization compared to them. This is what the government is campaigning since the New Year time.
