Yesterday the prosecutor general of RA Aghvan Hovsepyan confirmed all the rumors that the murder, which was committed on Sunday on Komitas street, was the continuation of the murder of the head of the RA Hunter’s Union killed on November 8 of 2007. Reminder: Sayat Davtyan was killed in 2007 near Arabkir market and was the coordinator of Kanaker regional department of the Prosperous Armenia party. “There were testimonies that this murder was committed as revenge. I am sorry that our people still cannot overcome the psychology of revenge. This is characteristic to other nations as well as a national feature. The cancellation of the provision of death sentence in the Criminal Code also contributed to the rise of criminality. Of course I am for the cancellation of that provision, however it formed a special psychology in our society,” he said. Hovsepyan also spoke about the murders, committed in Spitak and Stepanavan on Saturday and Sunday.
