The stain of Armenian statehood

02/11/2008

On Monday we will commemorate the 9th year of the tragic crime of October 27. Yesterday in this regard the Armenian National Congress spread an announcement, which reads, “On October 27 1999 the National Assembly and Government of Armenia were shot. The speaker of the National Assembly Karen Demirchyan, prime minister Vazgen Sargsyan, MPs and government members. 5 sin-makers dared to raise their hand on the statehood of Armenia headed by the president at the time Robert Kocharyan and the former head of the National Security Service Serzh Sargsyan, which was a big shame for them. After those events they should have both resigned. Not only did they not do that but also even more made it obvious that they were guilty of the crime. Right after the crime of October this duet formed and strengthened the gangster state, which exists nowadays. It still continues ruining the state and the people. October 27 will remain as a stain on the forehead of Armenia’s statehood with its destructive consequences. This will not stop as long as the crime is not investigated and the actual culprits are not punished.”
