Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States in Armenia Marie L. Yovanovitch. During the meeting the Ambassador and prime minister also discussed issues concerning the implementation of projects sponsored in the framework of the Millennium Challenges project. The PM said that he hopes that this issue will be solved during the meeting of the MC corporation’s board of directors in November. In answer the Ambassador said that the US is impressed by the huge capacity of construction works implemented in the framework of the mentioned project.
“It shows that Armenia feels responsible for implementing that project,” said Marie L. Yovanovitch and added that they wish other countries would be so responsible as well. The Ambassador also said that the US and American people are concerned of the events of March 1 and they hope that the investigation of the events will finish in a short period and will be transparent.
