On Saturday there were local government elections in Kentron community of Yerevan, which came to prove that there is no democratic electoral system in Armenia. Almost all types of electoral violations such as ballot stuffing, intimidation and influence on proxies, armed attack on precincts, electoral bribe, open and multiple voting were done. As a result of such electoral violence the Central Electoral Commission announced that the incumbent community head Gagik Beglaryan was re-elected. The monitors of the European Council Congress came up with such announcement as well, which in fact does not say anything. However, we understand them because during the most active hours of the election day they were spending their time at the Central restaurant-café (see the picture). Unlike the European monitors, the representatives of the US Embassy in Armenia were actively observing the electoral procedures and it is not excluded that in several days they may come up with a report. The Armenian National Congress, which endorses Ararat Zurabyan, has already made a statement on their findings.
