“To tell you the truth, I have never taken part in any “goghakan”
(gangster-style) or similar sessions and meetings. I must say that in
any case, the sessions have left a good impression on me,” said vice
president of the Hayastan Hanrapetakan (Armenian Republican) political
party Tigran Torosyan in resonse to the question of whether or not the
coalition’s sessions have turned into an arena for debates.
“Of course, it is preferable that the sessions be open for long
discussions, but then again, nobody is forbidden to state his/her point
of view. If someone can not freely express his point of view, he has to
blame himself, not somebody else,” said vice speaker of the National
Assembly as a piece of advice for the anonymous federation members.
National Assembly deputy and leader of the National Assembly political
party of the UN Gurgen Arsenyan is concerned about the kind of respect
that Armenian citizens get when they come to the frontier while
traveling to Russia. “For some reason, as citizens of Armenia reach the
border, the passport services demand a notary of the Armenian passport
in Russian. This is nonsense. They ask the citizens: Why do you want to
go to Russia?
The deputy asked the National Assembly to consider this matter and give
its evaluation. If not, we get the following: “Our ally is against the
Armenian passports.”
