Gagik Martirosyan, an aide to prime minister and head of a task force that was set up to coordinate transportation of commodities to Armenia after the explosion of a key railway bridge in Georgia, told that authorities in the Georgian port of Poti resumed today unloading of ships. However, the unloaded Armenian cargo is not moved to the Gori-Tbilisi railroad ruined bridge. According to him it is not expedient because necessary agreement is not yet attained regarding the use of the alternative bridge. He said unloading of cargo ships goes on also in another Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi. A convoy of 37 trucks bringing goods from Batumi has crossed today into Armenia at Bavra border crossing bringing 517,000 liters of petrol (private). Yesterday Martirosyan also stated that there is no deficit of fuel, wheat and flour in Armenia. However since yesterday several gas stations were closed due to no gas. And if we believe Martirosyan it will mean that the fuel importers are creating an artificial deficit.
