“If Mr. Gul does not come and if the national teams of Armenia and Turkey play, we will not say anything at all. The factor of Gul’s visit gives a specific quality to that soccer play: it is the first visit of the Turkish president to Armenia,” said ARF bureau representative Armen Rustamyan to our correspondent. “Whether the purpose of the visit is football or any other reason this visit cannot be political because the international community will focus its attention on this visit too. There can be certain plans connected with the visit as well. This is the reason why we can’t say that the only purpose of this visit is football. I am sure that the presidents will meet and there will be questions addressed to them. This is the way it should be done,” he said.
