Left alone

Yesterday was the last day for withdrawing candidacies at the 17th precinct of Artashat. Candidate for MP Grisha Virabyan withdrew his candidacy, thus there will be only one candidate during the election to take place on August 24. This candidate who is going to run for parliament alone is the head of the president’s administration Hovik Abrahamyan. Virabyan explained his decision by the fact that he did not get the support of the opposition. “By saying political support I meant that the opposition would provide me with human resources, at least 20 people, to enable me protect my votes in 44 polling stations,” said the candidate to radio Liberty.
