“The most important thing for me is the investigation of the killings of March 1. I am concerned of the fact that the responsible bodies are not attentive enough to this issue,” said EU secretary general Terry Davis in answer to a question proposed by radio Liberty asking his opinion about the fulfillment of the resolution requirements by the Armenian government. The latter said this during a press conference before the PACE session. “I am always asking my Armenian colleagues what is happening with the police investigation. Some of them say that the parliamentary ad hoc commission established for that purpose is going to investigate the events of March 1. However, it does not keep the police from conducting investigation,” said Davis. According to the EU secretary general, first of all it should be found out who is responsible for the killings. “The Armenian authorities say that a number of people have been arrested and accused, but I am still wandering what happened to those people who committed those murders,” he said and added that he is also concerned about the cases of vandalism on March 1. “But the most important thing is the killings. It is very important to discover the ones who are responsible for that. Also, it is more than important to find out who shot,” said the EU secretary general.
