Yesterday president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a meeting in Saint Petersburg. They met face to face and this meeting lasted about one hour, however before that meeting the foreign affairs ministers of both countries and the OSCE co-chairmen had met and conducted negotiations. After the meeting the foreign affairs ministers, and later the American co-chairman Matthew Bryza said that the meeting of Aliev and Serzh Sargsyan had been positive. The president’s spokesperson has also published an announcement reading that the meeting was positive. According to these announcements, the presidents of both countries have agreed to continue the negotiations. However, these announcements don’t show the subject matter of the presidents’ conversation and it will be clear only based on the process of Karabakh negotiations in the future.
