On the day of the 90th anniversary of the first Republic of Armenia the three presidents of the new Republic of Armenia visited the Sardarapat memorial. The incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan and former president Robert Kocharyan visited the memorial escorted by many high rank officials and participated in the celebration in the morning. In the midday, when the high rank officials had left, first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan visited the memorial with the company of his loyalists. People were demanding from Ter-Petrosyan to speak to them. “You are the one to decide the future of this country and must struggle till the end and achieve our goal. It is not my problem, it is not for me; all what you will do will be done for the sake of your children. If we don’t understand this, we will have many troubles. I don’t want to say more, struggle till the end,” said Ter-Petrosyan to citizens near the memorial. After his visit to the Sardarapat memorial he also visited the Erablur and petitioned 11 citizens who had gone on hunger strike to cease the hunger strike. However, the strikers are not going to give up and will keep on hunger strike to demand the police release their friends arrested after the events of March 1.
