During the recent period a process has started in Armenia, which seems to have happened in November 1993 as well, when the Armenian dram was adopted as the national currency. During that time and now the prices of all products and services are growing rapidly (certainly, in 1993 the prices were growing faster because the currency in circulation was the Russian ruble). For example, after the subsidy of gas was terminated the prices of vehicle propane was increased almost twice. Many taxi services in Yerevan have increased the prices of their services by 50%. It is expected that the transport fees will be increased as well. It is clear that this tendency will result in increasing prices of almost all products. Despite these tendencies many officials of Armenia say that there are no reasons for the economy to stagnate. Of course, such announcements are made out of Armenia because making such announcements in Armenia may be dangerous for health.
