Outpost’s destiny

ArmRusGazard company is going to buy the four blocs of the Hrazdan HES back. Armenpress has been informed by the spokeswoman of the ARG company Sushan Sardaryan that these four blocs will be united with the fifth bloc to be built in the future to create a joint production complex, which will become a strong production complex to export energy to the neighboring countries. This energetic complex may be built this year. According to Mrs. Sardaryan, in order to build the fifth bloc of the Hrazdan HES they need to invest $248.8 million, and they are going also to invest about $170 million to build a station with strong modern gas turbines. The Hrazdan HES will be included in the charter capital of the ARG, but will operate as a separate company. The company is going to operate the fifth bloc by 2010. The company has announced a tender and in May they will chose the contractor, after which they will inform the correct dates of finishing the construction works. It is too funny: Armenia has given those energetic blocs to Russia at miserable prices, after which it gave the fifth bloc to the Russians against gas subsidy, after which the ARG company, which is mainly controlled by the Russian government, is buying that bloc back (Armenia owes 20% in this company). As a result, the Russians are using the Armenian energetic blocs to build one of the biggest blocs in the region. This is the way how outposts can pay for being it.
