President Serzh Sargsyan, during a discussion with the management of the governmental state taxation department, instructed them to have equal and balanced approach to all companies and enterprises, strongly struggle against corruption and backing others for such purposes. Several days before that meeting the president had such meeting with customs officials. Before that such instructions had been periodically given to the customs and taxation services and officials by ex-president Kocharyan. Are not these warnings nonsense in consideration of the fact that these bodies have to work in a duly manner and without violence notwithstanding any such instructions? We wander whether such meetings, which are mainly aimed at showing it to the society, can help to improve the situation someway. Answering to this question the deputy head of the state taxation service said, “Certainly it helps… Each person, who gets instructions from the head of the country, is becoming more accountable and responsible.”
