Based on an order issued by the prosecutor general and decision by the special investigation department the arrest verdict of Republic party board member Suren Surenyants has been cancelled and he has been set free based on a document not to leave from the city. “Aghvan Hovsepyan has done that in consideration of Surenyants’ health conditions and his belief that Surenyants will not escape from the investigation bodies,” said the prosecutor’s spokesperson. However, Surenyants has informed radio Liberty that this fact is a result of “the petitions of the international community and parliamentarians.”
