Yesterday President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on appointing new defense and foreign affair ministers. As it was expected the head of the General Staff of the Armed Force, Seiran Ohanyan was released from that position and appointed as minister of defense. Sargsyan appointed Edward Nalbandyan minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Before the appointment Edward Nalbandyan was ambassador to France. According to our information except for the heads of a few state bodies the government composition is almost consented within the coalition. According to that the Prosperous Armenia and the ARF will retain their ministerial portfolios (the minister of education and science will be separated). The Legal State will have the Ministry of Communication (Minister will be appointed Mher Shahgeldyan) and the Ministry of Education (former pro-rector of the YSU Samvel Harutyunyan) and the Bureau of Emergencies. The RPA member deputy Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will be appointed chief of staff of the RA President and the incumbent chief of staff Armen Gevorgyan will submit the position of the deputy Prime Minister. Former deputy-minister of Finance and Economy Gagik Arzumanyan will be appointed Minister of the mentioned Ministry. The current deputy head of the Customs Committee Gagik Khachatryan will be appointed as head of the mentioned Committee. As of Armen Movsisyan and the Minister of Communication Andranik Manukyan, they will be appointed as advisors to the President. Among the non-party officials most probably the minister of trade and economic development Nerses Yeritsyan, Minister of culture Hasmik Poghosyan and the Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan will maintain their posts. The most probable candidate to occupy the post of a minister of a newly established ministry of Diaspora is Hranush Hakobyan. It is not yet clear whether the heads of the Police, National Security and the State Tax Service will be replaced or no. By the way the chairman of the CB Tigran Sargsyan will be replaced by the deputy-chairman of the bank Artur Javadyan.
