The Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Gegharkunik Marz Artur Tamrazyan publicized the verdicts of Simon Amirkhanyan, Samvel Karapetyan and the Prosperous Armenia member Hripsime Haitsyan. To note, Simon Amirkganian and Samvel Karapetyan were Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s proxies at Precinct 22/18 and 22/21 respectively. Hripsime Haitsyan was the Chairman of the Electoral Commission at Precinct 22/21. They are all charged with election tampering in favor of presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Simon Amirkhanyan and Samvel Karapetyan were sentenced to three years’ and Hripsime Haitsyan – to four years’ imprisonment. All the three will serve one-year probation period. They have no right to change their residence within a year. Yesterday Karapetyan announced that he is going on a hunger strike without mentioning any deadline.
