On March 24 the head of Arshaluis village of Armavir Grigor Grigoryan signed a resignation. Many people see a political context in this resignation by connecting it with the resignation of General Manvel Grigoryan from the deputy minister’s position of defense. Arshaluis is the native village of M. Grigoryan and G. Grigoryan has been elected head of the village with his support for several times. However the resigned head of the village denied the political motives of his resignation by saying, “I have had a heart surgery and my health doesn’t allow me continue submitting my position.” He also assured that he has great relations with Manvel Grigoryan but doesn’t have any relative ties with him. After G. Grigoryan’s resignation rumors were spread that the next head of Arshaluis village is going to be M. Grigoryan’s cousin Zarzand Grigoryan. Recently there were certain rumors that M. Grigoryan’s wife Nazik Grigoryan is also going to run the local government race.
