Republic party board member Suren Syurenyans’ lawyer Hovik Arsenyan has informed the radio Liberty that he was concerned about the conditions of Suren Surenyants, who had been in hunger strike since March 24 in the Nubarashen cells, but his client was not going to stop the hunger strike. Surenyants says that his client will continue with the hunger strike until he is not persecuted any more and is set free. Concerning the health conditions of his client the lawyer said, “He had some problems with his eyes and now there is some blood in his eyes, he has pain in the kidney.” Following this statement the spokesperson of the justice ministry informed the radio Liberty that generally Surenyants is in normal health conditions. He also said that citizens Khachik Gasparyan, Raja Petrosyan and Aram Bareghamyan, who had been in hunger strike, had stopped the hunger strike.
