Yesterday the head of the Heritage faction Stepan Safaryan announced that their party had some problems with figuring out with its “strategy and policy”. In answer to a question whether that action may result in dropping their mandates the latter said, “I don’t want to exclude anything. We have announced that we are a pro participation power. We don’t think that boycott may bring to bigger results than any participation. Meanwhile we don’t want to exclude anything. We will have to convene a session or board meeting in the future because it is difficult to work in the parliament being a small group consisting of seven opposition MPs only. The others have majority in the parliament”. Answering to a question whether it is possible that the Heritage may be given some positions in the parliament he said that they would not accept any such offers because they can be removed later at any time. “They can do as they did with Artur Baghdasaryan in 2006. We don’t need any participation which means that you should abstain from certain actions in order not to lose your position,” he said.
P.S. On the previous day some of the Ago group members participated in the “political walk” in the North Avenue.
