Press officer of the Ministry of Defense, colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan pledged that on the oath day of the newly elected president Serzh Sargsyan on April 9 a military ceremony is going to take place in the Liberty Square. According to him on that day there will be no tanks, artillery or air force used because it is a ritual, which is quite accepted to be done on the oath day of president. On that day only 8 different military machines will be used. During his interview to the A1+ reporter Shahsuvaryan said that on that day the Ministry of Defense will provide with soldiers, who will be wearing weapons but without bullets. Starting from today the rehearsal of the ceremony will be launched, however he said that people may witness it only with a permission from the President’s office, “Everything is organized by the President’s cabinet. We only provide with troops.”
