Former deputy general prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan and his brother Vardan Jhangiryan, who were arrested on February 23, have been taken to prison. Gagik Jhangiryan is charged under Article 235/1 (obtaining, selling, keeping, transporting or bearing illegal weapons, guns, explosive materials or explosive equipments) and Article 316/1 (power pressure on a governmental representative) of the RA Criminal Code. Vardan Jhangiryan is charged under Article 316/2 of the Criminal Code. By the way, yesterday Jhangiryan was taken to the Vardashen prison. Yesterday member of the Republic party board Smbat Ayvazyan was imprisoned for two months as well.
