The presidents of Armenia and Russia have met in Moscow within the framework of the non-official summit of the CIS country presidents. The Russian president said that he hoped that one of the first official visits of the newly elected president would be to Russia and told Kocharyan that he invited Serzh Sargsyan to visit Russia. Vladimir Putin thanked Kocharyan and said, “A lot has been done to develop the Armenian-Russian relations both in the political and economic fields and you had a key role in that process”.
