In response to the questions of “Ayb Fe” news agency about how the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the fact of putting the issue of
“the situation in the Azeri captured territories” in the agenda of the
UN 60-th Session of the General Assembly, the press secretary of MFA,
Hamlet Gasparyan, noted, that according to the list of issues, which
were not discussed during the 59-th Session of the General Assembly,
this issue may be put for discussion during the 60-th Session along
with the other foreseen issues. According to the press secretary,
Azerbaijan cannot take actions and insist on one position, because this
will be contrary to the collusion between the parties concerning those
issues. “In case Azerbaijan raises any issue at the UN board, Armenia
will go out of the Karabakh conflict negotiation process, and Baku will
have to continue the negotiations directly with Stepanakert”,-
explained Mr Gasparyan.
